AFC/ handled ascender footloop.

Nothing ground shattering here, just found a good secondary use for my Buckingham AFC.



I was looking at what I wanted to use for my footloop to my handled ascender. I had my AFC handy. Clipped a 'biner from the large ring to the strap to cinch around my foot, and clipped the adjustable prussik'ed ring to the ascender. Insta-one hand adjustable length footloop (feed the tail through the secondary tenex loop to mind the prussik-- see picture half way down page http://www.wesspur.com/friction-savers/friction-saver.html).

Adjustable length. Set up through tenex loop in prussic minder mode for one handed adjustment.

Not something for everyday, every tree. Just something that was applicable and efficient.

I tinker with setups all the time...looks like you found something that works for you.

I use a NRS 9 ft cam strap. Works great and light weight.
I also sometimes use it as a bosun seat for cabling and such. just run it under your but and it makes hanging in your saddle a lot more comfortable.

I just got an aider from a rock climbing store. It what they call footloops... weirdos.
