ABR TriTech prussic cord

Hello everyone. Quick question, I bought a 15 ft abr tritech lanyard to create my own CE lanyard. Currently I am running a beeline prussic on it and this is basically the only prussic cord I have ever used. For me on the more rigid tritech it does not grab as well as I would like. Sooo does anyone have any suggestions on what I should try? Thank you in advance!

i use tritech and have found that HRC, 8mm armor prussic and 8mm op all run well. i use stiched eyes on all prussics and tie a 4 wrap 2 braid VT using a dmm pinto pulley (red/small) with the eyes tucked inside and i find that with the eyes tucked inside of a pinto vs. eyes outside a pinto or any other pulley makes a large difference with the friction.
Climb safe.

joezilla11 got it! Nothing runs better on sterling cordage that sterling cordage. The rit cordage lasts forever as well.

Softer cord is definitely a must with the tritech. I have been removing larger trees the last few weeks so the rigidity for flipping has been a welcome change, thanks bixler I'll have to try a few.

Larger trees are fun!

The guys at RopeTek installed some 9mm TriTech (about 20ft) into my old Sidewinder lanyard. At first it seems too stiff, but after a little while it softens up and works well. http://rope-tek.com/sidewinder/

Good luck with the hitch cord, seems to be such a personal thing... just so many options! Good time to be a climber in this day in age.

i use a real short piece of bee line. longer stuff hasnt been so hot, but a nice short 8mm works great for me.
started with short hitch cord just trying to mitigate sit back, turned out to work great.

Treeswinger, I've been running this stuff for a while now, it works great on a more ridged rope. https://www.treestuff.com/store/catalog.asp?category_id=20&item=3621

TriTech seems to be really tough. It's not 'cut proof' as they like to call it, but once broken in it really softens up.

Bix,
You ever have problems with the HRC just going to "S" when it rains? Stuff seemed to age about 10 years when it got wet.

Then again, does it rain in Sunny California ;)

Tony that is maybe my only issue with hrc. Have to keep it dry

Yup. I liked the way it performed, but switching out hitches due to weather: PIA. Not working in the rain: Preferable, but not realistic! I had HRC go to "S" from sweat!

Digging the Sterling RIT cord. Seems to perform a touch better than my preferred BeeLine.
