I would love to try the Arborwear Ascender and Canopy pants but they don't make them in a big enough size. I have spoken with Bill at the ISA Milwaukee conference show and he would be willing to make them but is hedgy on being able to sell them. He told me he needed to make at least a dozen pair in a run to make it worth while for heim and keep the costs within parameters. I just can't afford a dozen to give him the go ahead. Thus, I am forced to buy the more expensive SIP pants. Personally I think the ground guys would like the Ascenders just as well if not more than the tech pants since they stretch and more with you better. How about it guys, can we get some of your bigger employees to consider this and maybe get Arborwear to produce bigger sizes?Love my arborwears. Canopy and Ahim at ISA in Milwaukee and he said he would if I can get enough guys to buy them
Large enough to walk a dark street at night in a questionable neighborhood and not be bothered. Actually the SIP's XXL fit well, Arbor wear stops the ascenders and canopy pants at 38 waist. I need a few more inches there.Damn oldoak, you must be a biggin. 12 pairs would last you forever though.
Neither the Duluth nor the Carhartt stretch and move like the SIP or Ascender/Canopy pants. Not saying they aren't great pants, but there are better alternatives for climbing, thats all.Check out Duluth Trading co. They have clothes that are the quality that carharrt used to be and sizes for the big guys. In fact even some designed especially for bigger guys
Please realize I'm not in the brush every day like most of you are, but my SIP's are coming up on 2 years and still going strong. How long are the SIP pants lasting? If Duluth doesn't work out, I may look into them.
