3G iPhone GPS map with voice app

My Garmin Nuvi is flaking out on me. I think its dieing.

Since I have a 3G, I know, ancient technology!, I want to find a talking GPS app to replace the Garmin.

Any suggestions?
 
Navigon is excellent. Capable of replacing any purpose built turn by turn GPS IMO. Expensive but well worth it. If you have the 'around me' app it integrates with Navigon giving turn by turn directions to restaurants etc that you have searched for in the app. I haven't used it much but I understand MotionX-Drive is fairly good but don't recall whether it is a 'talking' app.
 
I downloaded waze to my iphone 4s today, and used it driving around. It's important to look at alternate routes, and even then, it's not going to take you the very shortest route. It's supposed to learn my driving patterns, so perhaps it will become more in tune with my habits as I use it more.
 
C'mon Tom, get off your wallet and just buy a new Garmin. Think how much it will make/save you over its lifetime. Look at it like SRT ;-)
