2nd & 3rd generation climbers

my son(3rd gen)& I (2ndgen) my son robert is 7 and has developed in to quite the limb jumper and climbs w/ me all weekend long, his tree is a short, open limbed, chinese talhoe which is right next to my taller turkey oak. we rage alot and he always asking me about this jump or that limb to walk out on. for a 7 year old he can get it and knows his way around a tree really well. tree climbing makes a great father/son relationship. enjoy life out side with your kid in a tree they will love it.mine does!

I loved climbing trees when I was a 'lil sprout. I nearly killed myself a dozen times or more, lol.

Ahh, to be young again!

I'm generation one. I climbed trees quite a bit until I was old enough to ride my bike to the escarpment on the moountain I lived on... from there it was all rocks, buildings and towers until a couple of years ago.

I am 1st generation as aclimber but I am 3rd gen in working with trees my Dad and Grandpa were loggers in B.C
My Dad thinks what we is more dangerous but the old days of loggin were pretty scary!
My Uncle was killed loggin when I was a wee lad! :(

Funny my son is 19 and he is a great rock climber but no interest in tree climbing! :(
My daughter is 12 and she loves it and will probably be 4th Gen if it is her way
I am steering her toward consulting!
Ya I know but she is my little girl
Funny how we or me are so double standard

Third Generation and loving every single moment !!!

Learn and transgress from one to the other.

Live what you love and love what you live.

Otherwise try a different profession....

Helping to spread the gospel of trees with each generation.

May you touch as many trees as you can..

I'm a 2nd generation climber and my son of 8 is our families 3rd generation climber to be. He is my biggest fan i'm his, with the proper training he'll be MI yongest champ!!!!!!!

thats the hopes i have my 7 y/o he's the little climber and gets better each climb i try not to be to over whelming on him as i expect only the best effort on every climb he does.i usually have to step back to realize he's pnly 7 and i should'nt push to hard other wise it may turn out not to be fun for him any more and i dont want that to happen because he just loves trees
