24 Strand climbing line that resists glazing

I have to say, my cougar grey is one tough rope....it's now my removal rope....rope rope rope...oh so many good ones out there....so many to choose from....so many to buy....so many to love...just so many....

You guys don't know how good you have it! Time was that all we had was either 3strand or arborplex, and we thought arborplex was the bees knees. Swing, sounds like you need a truck just to haul your ropes to the job:D

Tony, to what other lines does tendril compare? I heard that it is much like tachyon, but would like to hear from someone actively using it.

Sorry for the delay, been busy!

The tendril acts just like most of the 24 strand double braid lines out there. Very comparable toPoison Ivy and Tachyon. The core is plaited though so under low load it resists stretching, but will elongate when loaded in a fall. A feature I really like in a climbing line and until now only Kermaster was constructed that way to my knowledge. Of course all lines stretch when loaded, but these two are designed differently.

The splice is very compact compared to other double braid climbing lines IMHO.

Has a soft feel to it from the get go and the orange is very visible! Seems lighter than some other options out there.

I have not done any 1:1 work positioning on it and very limited 1:1 ascent. As of now, for 1:1 use I see not major advantage over any other line out there, but I have not tried a lot of it so far.

I will be posting a short review on my blog tonight or tomorrow. I post the link here when I do.

Tony
