Off to the land of Tastykakes and hockey teams in desperate need of a solid Goal Tender !!!! See everyone soon !!

Thank you to all the instructors and participants for making this a wonderful class and a great experience. My wife enjoyed it too.

familytree is one heck of a funny guy and was the entertainment for the symposium, in a good way.

Just got in this morning and wanted to thank all the participants who attend this event.

This was a VERY dedicated and fantastic group! Everyone did a wonderful job.

Extra special thanks to Longwood Gardens for hosting this. We sincerely appreciate all the effort they put into getting us out there. If you ever get a chance to visit Kennett Square PA please check out Longwood Gardens, you won't regret it. I plan on going out there again to enjoy a longer visit, the place is simply exceptional and the more I learned about their operation and professionalism the more respect I have for the property and it's employees and volunteers.

Thanks again everyone!

John, Rich, Josh, Sean and all involved in putting this together-
Thank you for making this an all around AWESOME learning experience, as well as the opportunity to meet so many great people in the class!

Dittos here, had a wonderful time! Am looking forward to staying in touch with as many of my new friends as possible. I am also glad to have finally met some of my "old" friends from here on the Buzz!

Ditto the instructors were great and answered all the questions you had. Rich was a little harsh (I cried a little when I got home).

My hands sure need more tree work than copy and paste. It was nice to meet everyone but I wish we did name tags because I think I know people now but I have no clue. Think is the key word.

Thank you again to all the longwood folks who helped set this up.

I really do want to see the fly 30" prussick cord splice. Rich I'll be looking for a reason to come down your way for a few days. I'd love to see what production splicing looks like.

LOL Jim, I only rode ya cause I saw your true potential : )

You are always welcome down here in Louisville, but I have to warn ya......you most likely will never want to leave !!!

Jim, I too would love to travel down to the "North edge of the South" aka Louisville.

Maybe you and I could make plans for later this year with something that coincides with Rich's schedule?

"The laces were in. They were in!" I did another right after I got home and put the "laces" on the outside. You where right so much easier.

Chris, I wish I could swing something this year but with the baby, business, full time work, part time work, and my second baby my Willies, this year is going to be hard. Maybe when I'm on family leave I could take a long weekend but the Mrs. might not like that. I'd need to make some money if that was the case. I'll definitely keep the lines open just in case.

Again, it was great getting to meet you and the others.

Well I finally got a chance to upload some of the photos that my wife Heide took at the Splicing Symposium.

Unfortunately, she only got a chance to get some of the Friday morning session, so I wasn't able to get any of Rich Hattier and Josh Jump showing their skills to us, when we switched sides in the afternoon. Hopefully people will post some more.

Here's John Hartenburg showing us the 16 strand climbing line splice. Notice his "secret formula" on the board in the background....don't even ask about it!

Shawn Ruemmele, another one of our fine instructors hammering away on a splice to assist in finishing the bury.

DON'T stand in front of those hammers, just ask familytree Marc Powell what can happen to you.
