2008, biggest baddest

I have a couple , one with a 300 ton crane and a couple huge tulips . The 300 ton crane job was sick , 125ft Black Oak , Glenside , Pa. . I helped Bartlett Tree Experts . Two days , one climbing and lowering the limbs the second day smashing the wood . each pick weighed five to six tons . double choked with steel cables . Not Easy , I'll post a few pictures , money for the job was crazy (seriously). I did alot of big jobs in the summer of 2008 , my 27th summer doing tree work , I just wanna see who else is hitting it like I am . Here is a picture of the base of this tree , I'll post pictures later but I wanna see 2008 pics only , have five or six respectable trees .

This thread coulda waited till December Glen, the Bad-Tree season is only just starting for me....

No matter, this tree was from last January, a good size. Plenty tricky ones since, but the Bad ones will surely come before the year is out!

Thats a good one , I've been busy . I like that tree Reg , Fat one . I agree it is early , bring em on . "08" only though. Land lock , size , hazard it's gotta all add up . That looked like a dumper .

this was 2 years ago - my last big euc in california. the bucket next to the tree is a 75 footer (folded in the pic) for perspective. the trunk was 6ish and the wood filled six 30 yard debri boxes :)

48" DBH Norway Maple. Biggest tree I've done in the tightest spot. Coy pond, arbor, deck, house, garage, shed, planters, fence, fun.

i have a couple of tulip poplars coming down in about a month, we need to buy a 400ft rope for rigging (trees are between 130-150ft) and they are directly over a school. ill post pics soon, i bet someone from cali wins, its not fair, those trees grow crazy big all year round.

there should be a crane section and a straight rigging section for this (i dont get to have any fun with cranes, and the jealousy is starting to show)

Baddest stump, 8T. About 80klbs of line pull to get it back on level ground. Didn't want to risk grinding it and it rolling itself, my grinder, and myself through the business under it.

Gord by a mile, unless someones holding back. I thought for complexity I might have had a shot since my last post, but the credit-crunch has put paid to all that over here....lots of companies have really struggled to find work. No matter, well done Gord, although I'd always imagined you to be much older

Yep, the lift is mine. Bought it in 05.

I went to spear a top out of the biggest oak in the first picture. The top tipped away, and I cut the holding wood, and the tips of the top got caught in the skinny trees swinging the butt to the concrete.
