Actually, I pretty much agree with what you are saying. For a critical situation use a rigging line/tag line that isn't compromised. My fuzzy poodles are good for a lot of situations and they keep my precious rigging lines from dragging through the mud.You making fun of me? Lol
I'm with ya and do the same but I still dont put sub par gear into critical situations. It's just not prudent for me!Actually, I pretty much agree with what you are saying. What is the advantage?I replace the hooks for retired karabiners.
Better and more secure attachments to the various points on the truck/trailer.What is the advantage?
That's not only imprudent, it's foolish, rookie judgment.I'm with ya and do the same but I still dont put sub par gear into critical situations. It's just not prudent for me!
I can see that re using on equipment.Better and more secure attachments to the various points on the truck/trailer.
I’ve only ever strapped a couple of trees together Over the years.I can see that re using on equipment.
I was thinking more in line with wrapping it around a sketchy butt to be felled, not sure why hooks are bad in that scenario.
I did it just last week on a super sketchy, forked tree. The strap broke when the tree decked but it had nothing to do with the hooks.
