1985 ford teco boom & chip truck

Came across a 1985 ford with a teco boom and chip body. It has 58,300 miles and has been kept in a barn the past 10 years with minimal use. They are asking 10,000$ for it. I tested out the boom and all seems well with the truck. Was wondering if this was a good deal ?

I had the same style of Teco Saturn boom for my first bucket truck. It was a 55', ended up retiring it due to a worn out rotator bearing and perpetual leaking of the low pressure control tubing. Pistol grip control actuator housing also cracked and had to go to a 3 lever style setup. I used it for about 2 1/2 years and as soon as I was able upgraded. I gave $17k in 2006.

Personally I'd stay away from the teco. A friend of mine bought one and the control hoses blew out on a job. Long story short the truck is still sitting 3 years later because there are no parts available for them anymore.

Hoses are readily available at a hydraulic supply shop. Relatively low pressure on the control lines. 250-350 lbs of pressure. Heavy air brake tubing will work for on site repairs.
