I'd think an unprecidented fire, with committed 30,000 firefighters, would draw some attention away from the pricks that try to tell us what's good for our economic well being?

Yeah but I'm done for the day now. Gives me headaches. We are thinking.
That's good. Its about time.
I agree except I can't get youthful butts in the seats to take Green Industry oriented classes. Thanks for the response and I agree with much of what you say. Sometimes I am hopeful for the future (you can see in the kids we are evolving, but maybe too late) and sometimes I see absolutely no hope at all. Profit over people/planet is so deeply ingrained in the mind of americans it is maddening. Example, in this microcosm of a microcosm (treebuzz and tree industry) there is enough evidence of blind, faithful, loyal servitude to leave one with little hope that things will ever improve.
I have tried to engage the group about thoughtless and idiotic, incredibly resource intensive and biosphere destroying, use of machines in our industry to absolutely no avail, only met with hostility (as if a negative remark about a machine is a personal slight to the owner)
Tried to engage about wage slavery, exploitation and blatant worker endangerment (all for $$, greedy bastards have no ethics), same results, no thought, no creativity, status quo to the death.
Same with chemicals, these tree people flat out love chemicals and the accompanying dollars from dowsing our towns in this shit. And the chemi people talk in the stupidest boring circles and try to justify their greed and destruction of life.
And the sad thing is, our industry almost entirely views itself as righteous do gooders, couldn't be farther then the truth!
Late at night I am worried bout drinking the milk in the fridge, will there be more next time I go to the store? How? It seems impossible yet, it's always there.
