The price of crude per bbl. Thusday at close of biz. By this coming Monday, the adjustment will hit at the pump. Wheat at $18.00 per bushel? It was $1.28 for more than 60 years. Oldest running investment bank on Wall Street this morning flipped belly-up, only surviving on cash rescue from JP Morgan/Chase and the Fed. Hmm.

Gonna have to shoot a couple of yard hens, clean some chicken for stew. Got some calves but don't want to eat them yet, might take my fishing gear to my boat for Sunday's noon meal.

Europe's economy now displaced U.S. as number 1, our health care keeps deflating down now to number 38 internationally, so keep an eye on those bowel movements.

If everyone's lucky enough to service a large client base of 'uneffected' upper-incomes, might want to paint those prices up to compensate for what's ahead. Not a good time for tool toys or new vehicles, I recommend fishing tackle and heritage seeds.

A hundred-fifty dollar job is now a two hundred fifty dollar job, as of this morning here. See if that can carry me through 'till retirement. How's ya all doing?

I've been the lowballer in the area last few years - overhead is near zero - but time to ante-up with the rest of the competition, don't need that much new work anyway. I'm more suggesting what other's have been charging for minimums, now me too.

Did you hear Bush saying "I'm coming to you as an optimistic fella" regarding the economy? He sounds retarded and clueless, like he's whistling past the graveyard. When that silly $650 arrives from Uncle Sam, is that going to make a difference to anyone at all??
