1 ton dump trucks

Never tried but it will suck up 1/2" rocks and mulch with leaves without a problem. Stuffs the leaves so hard that it comes out like a brick. I couldn't find a flexable chute that would work so my dad made me a steel chute, works great but like you said not good if I forget to take it off.

This might be the Canadian truck you were speaking of. I went through alot of rotator pics for this one!

Yeah thats the baby. I bet it cost a bundle. Mangoes was his username(thanks Lumberjack) I haven't seen him on the buzz in awhile. Nice box and I don't tell that to just anyone.

That insert looks like a truckcraft alum not sure who makes the top. I'm looking to get that insert for my new truck and from looking around it goes for about $5000-5500. The nice part is the whole thing only weighs around 450 lbs and will dump 7k.

Several years ago I bought an EZ Dumper insert. The insert with headache rack and tarp kit installed was around 2,000. It was on a ford f-250 so I had to beef up the springs. Weight was always a issue. I sold it for $500.

I picked up this one ton 4x4 for 3K$ a few years ago off of ebay. It gets in lots of places I can't get the F-700(and back out!). Great for the 20 or so cords of firewood I deliver per year, too.

i can't believe you picked that up for 3k. I bet that has already paid for itself by now. One question, how come no name on the side?

Picked up this '95 f350 out of California last spring and it has been a bomber truck for us so far. Would like to move the dump box onto a newer cab&chassis in the next year or two....

Simon,

I've been thinking of a set up like that for my 1 ton. I pull a goose neck dump trailer at times and wonder if it takes much time to slide it out and disconnect it. What about weight?, my mini can lift about a 1000 lbs. you think that could lift it off the truck?

It's pretty easy to slide out, there are 2 wires one to the battery and one that goes in the cab. Both can be made with quick connects with a little work. The insert it's self is held in with 4 brackets to the trucks bed bolts. I think the steel version weighs about 850lbs without the sides, but I can take apart the sides in about 10 mins. Once the 4 bolts and 2 wires are disconnected it slides out. Once you know how it's mounted it can be removed within a hour, a tractor or a lift makes it alot easier and faster. Before I had my tractor I would pull it out about 2ft a put horses under it and then slowly drive the truck forward putting in more horses every 2 ft or so. I can take pic's of how it's bolted to the truck if you want.

well its finally put together. here are some photos.

warning* these pics r monster in size...sorry

there are a few blemishes in the metal for the sides but the price was right and sometime you just have to make chicken salad out of chicken sh*t

its steel, just painted. We don't do really big jobs yet so the size is alright, plus we had to work with what materials we had. we went with a lower profile and some curves instead of truck with big a55 box on it look
