Sorry, but I'm not convinced.
I think the horse may be on an electric motorized tread mill.
Pretty fancy sheet metal for a rudimentary contraption.
At ~10 - 12 sec the horse appears to be carried backward very slightly.
I understand there is supposed to be a flywheel involved.
Google the internet, different video, but again appears to be some backward movement.
I expressed an opinion. I was corrected. I accepted that.
What is your point ?
The front of the treadmill is elevated, which causes the weight of the horse to roll the tread backward. That's what motivates the horse to step forward. If the tread were level, the horse would just stand still and produce no motion. Also, if it were level, the horse would have to be fully harnessed and anchored to a solid part of the treadmill frame in order to turn the tread. Otherwise his slow walking would just propel him forward. As you can see in the video, he's not harnessed and not pushing against the wood in front of his chest, just lightly tied with a halter and walking "uphill".At ~10 - 12 sec the horse appears to be carried backward very slightly.
