Anybody used tenex in the smaller sizes for hitch cords? I'm thinking that spliced eye n eye prussics of this smaller size tenex could work better than ones of 3/8ths tenex which really fattens up when spliced.

The 1/4 size has a MBS of 3,200lbs and the 5/16 is 4,700lbs. I think that used as an eye n eye this still satisfies the 5,400lb mark.

It should meet the 5400lb requirement since it's effectively two legs. I'd want to see some break tests though.

I've wondered the very same thing because I love how Tenex breaks in and slides on rope. It's great for a single eye Blakes but it's kind heavy for eye-eye applications.

I'm a true believer in HRC now though, it's better than Tenex on a rope.
