Funny this thread has come up. I posted it 10 years ago and I was literally thinking how I'm going to dread "normal" clothing here soon. I love bibs in the winter. I don't have to fight my shirt untucking from my pants.
I've been thinking of bibs to look like Mario, from Mario Bros.

We need an arborist who can do all phases of tree work. You would be expected to perform technical/ tight area tree removals, crane assisted tree removals, structure pruning of young and mature trees, and a true understanding of ornamental tree pruning.
A Climber III arborist would be...
Bump.
Yes. I used many Harision Rockets over the years. They all break.
I still don't see anyone running with this idea and making a throw weight like I suggested. It would be much more durable than what is out there.
It was tough letting the crew learn it. I put in about 100 hours before I thought I could run it with my eyes closed. At that point I allowed others to try it. It's sort of like having new shoes. You don't want them to get dirty (ever). :)
I've wanted this type of lift for at least 7 years. I've seen the geometry of how spider lifts operate and I've been convinced their versatility (aloft, not on only on the ground) is better than a simple articulating aerial lift. There are probably a dozen European manufactures that have truck...
Thanks Royce. I miss being on the Buzz, but I'll admit; with a family of 8 and running the business, I find my free time sparse these days.
I'll answer any questions the best I can:
The appeared boom deflection, is from poor photo stitching, from my phone (or me). LOL
Yes, a cab guard is...
So, yeah. Levi Rockett works for me, at Parker Tree Service. It's a blast having someone willing to learn something new every day.
So, I'll give the run down on the lift I bought. We've had it since February. I bought it used, from a man in Cleveland, OH. The truck is a 2006 GMC W450...
On Facebook I saw a still shot photo, from the opposite perspective (and much further away). The guy was indeed tied in to the building. The tree was leaning and had an "S" curve in it.
In the video we can see the rigging line was most likely attached to the base of the tree (with some sort...
I don't know if this was posted here, on the Buzz. If it has been posted, sorry.
I saw this on Facebook today. This is one of the most violent accidents I've ever seen (for tree work).
(You may not want your kids to see this).
I just hope this guy never has to experience something...

Any one know if a European wall adaptor will work? I see the adaptos for sale all over the internet, with good reviews. I don't see why we, Yanks, couldn't buy the Li XP with an adaptor.
Never mine. I Googled it and found the video.
I'm not being rude, but why would anyone want to use the Uni by wrapping the tail of the rope over the top to us it? That method is now obsolete for the Uni.
The new barrel attachment allows for merely squeezing and descending. It can't get any...

The barrel is ok, but i dont think it is as rope friendly as the drum. The drum allows for big swings also as long as you know how to use it. The barrel also takes up the top hole of the uni and that doesnt work for me. I believe the drum is superior, thanks yoyoman!
