I think you may give dynasorb too much credit - it’s still within the range of static ropes. When it stuck to the ground, there was no recoil. This man can attest.
Actually the rigging point maintained quite fine. Imagine the tree being rigged from was vertical/12oclock - the offending tree was in a 2 o’clock configuration.
