    Vista prune and some deadwooding along the lake. Bank was much steeper than it looks, and loose. Kept most of the brush better than half way up. The rest got thrown to the beach and a neighbor was kinda enough to allow me on his access road to retrieve it.

    Pounded out some chicken thighs, seasoned and marinated in buttermilk, dredged in seasoned flour, and fried in peanut oil, served on a toasted kaiser roll. Whipped up a quick sauce. Kraft yellow singles melt the best.

    Thanks everyone for the insight. It is appreciated. We did have a wet, humid spring and early summer. I've reached out to my local coop extension (Cornell) but it was after hours yesterday and they're closed on Friday. We'll see what Monday brings.

    One of my favorite dishes. I made one myself once, using pork tenderloin instead of beef (first attempt and didn't want to ruin an expensive cut) and it came out alright. There isn't any one part of the recipe that's particularly difficult, just a lot of steps.

    On a recent trip to Montreal for a bachelor party, we ate at Gibby's in Old Montreal neighborhood. I had the wellington, the rest of the guys got ribeyes. Undoubtedly the best steaks anyone of us have had. Highly recommend.
