I'm still playing around with settings too, Steve. My current rope is fairly broken in, mid way through its life.
One day my rope got real dirty and partially frozen and I had a hell of a time getting her to work proper. B/3 gives me a little creep when alot of rope is in the system...
I have been digging the Akimbo as well. Still playing around with some adjustments here and there but have been using B/3 on Yale 11.7 - (170lb no gear) with great success. I did make two little mods, putting rubber nubs on and a new tending point with stainless steel wire and a thimble...
This is a horrible picture but if you have a good solid tree next to the leaner, with a little bit of extra time with your throwball, you could likely set something like this up all from the ground. Single line ascent right to the near top of the leaner. Sometimes it can get a little awkward...

Good on you, Royce. Many people are short sighted in terms of money and production. Keeping employees paid well and with good incentives creates a more unified, and satisfied team. Nothing like a well oiled machine, with a couple good belly laughs
That sounds like a pretty good idea, Royce. You think it would get a little messy for companies with a high turn over rate? Probably ideal for smaller crews that stick together for the most part?
