I got a nice surprise discount over at Wesspur also. I forgot that Dave set everyone that was at Pete's crane class up with an automatic discount. There is a reason they call him Nice Guy Dave
I just replaced my Ignition switch not long ago after it just stopped working during the middle of a job. It really can be that simple. Or not of course, but as Mert mentioned Modern Equipment is the dealer around here. Where exactly are you? Earthborne Equipment is in Warrington (215) 443-0770...
Just call the State, they can walk you through what you do and do not need. I went DOT since I do occasionally take the truck out of state. That 10K rule is why so many trailers are rated at 9,900. If you tow anything with a motor you will also have minimum 1M insurance you will need.
I agree Sean as far as the low stuff and swales. It is the 42" bed height I am not fond of, almost lost the Dingo off the ramps about 3ft in the air. Had to bale off, luckily it stayed hung up on the ramps.
No folding under. The one I saw is has hinge pins on top so it pivots when dumping. It has lock pins at the bottom to hold vertically when using lift or in normal driving mode.
If I was having one built I would want a hydraulic lift gate. It would have to be big enough to use for the mini but also swing or slide upwards for dumping chips. I know there are some smaller versions out there but they are limited to @1,500 lbs. No more ramps.
I guess a slideback body might...
It will be interesting to see what the RE price point will end up being. I personally love the Akimbo, I also know a few guys who don't find it to be all that. I got 2 of them, 1 I climb on and 1 that has been lent out to several people since I owned it. Some love it, some not so much.
Treebuzz 1st and foremost. Simply the best members out there. A wealth of knowledge about gear, techniques, and general life. Now if I could just get @Tom Dunlap to ban those scary clown avatars it would be perfect.
Got the bearing and a new brake handle installed today. Saw works flawlessly now, and cuts wood like a banshee. I will rarely have a use for it but I got one. Lol.
Thanks for all the leads guys.
Okay so the Ebay seller can't measure. I got a 14x18 bearing :(
Anybody happen to have a spare 14x17 bearing they want to part with?
Otherwise I am boring my sprocket out to 18mm, I can buy that bearing everywhere.
I posted the same question over on the OPE forum @hseII
Mika,
Just to be clear, when we (as a whole) are talking about rope choices we are referring to Arborist lines only. Rock climbing lines are a whole different animal when it comes to Dynamic & Static. I only mention this because you said you are using a rock harness so my thoughts are that you...
Pulled it apart and all the needles fell out in pieces. Obsolete by Stihl standards but $10 bucks to my door from E-Bay. Should have it next week. They are an odd size 14 x 17 x 14 long, Stihl and Dolmar stopped using them years ago.
Clutch, sprocket and crankshaft look okay though. Looks like...
