I’ve repeatedly landed a throw ball on a roof, to the best of my knowledge no damage. It does make a pretty good thud, and I’m usually grateful if they’re not home!
I find it quite odd that if it weren’t for
online forums or Facebook, I would have been completely oblivious to this… wouldn’t the overlords already have all the information they needed anyway?
Cheapo weaver bungee for me. Only use the recoil on rear handled saws… I figure once the bigger saw comes out, there’s less shit for it to foul up on. Absolutely hate it on a top handle.
I get a decent amount of interest/inquiries/leads that turn into work from the contact form. You will get website designers, SEO etc spam from it also…..
The the OP: that is gnarly and scary!!!! Those saws are like a couple hundred razor blades, and you are lucky to have all your fingers/hand intact!! Get well soon, hand injuries suck…..
Yes, A scabbard would have prevented this. The baby is definitely thrown out. I’ve tried, and I get symptoms similar to that of a PTSD sufferer. So for me it’s a no go for a polesaw aloft.
The saw with one section of pole was hooked on a small branch at about shoulder height (relative to my elevation in the tree). Either the branch broke or the wind jostled it loose, watched the saw fall perfectly straight to the ground, I was super relieved it didn’t hit anyone on the ground...
I’ve been told, where I’m at in Colorado, if you park an EV in your attached garage, you need a special fire suppression system in your home for most/all homeowners insurance.
