gammas were my first pant, only one I enjoyed of the few I was able to try on. They are tighter than the rest. No foot ascender snagging! No go for summer tho. Had to get a pair of zeros. I will be pulling out the gammas as soon as I can.
Is the placement of the hip D’s any different than the onyx on the MB? At first fly the sequoia seemed like the perfect saddle for me - back pad very short in height so fits perfectly on my pelvis without digging into the hip ball and socket joint, but the hip D’s are intolerably placed.
No need to go out of your way to answer but off the top of your head does your rented policy mention lifts specifically and any restrictions or anything on them?
If you wanna approach this right, stop thinking so much and just buy a damn saw :b
putting a lot of undue wear on that little guy, which continues to add up as you think it over. I’m already about to explode on my business partner just glancing at that photo and thinking about the frustration...
I’ll try to keep it short.
Mostly climb but have been renting a lift when necessary. Expensive but worth it to get the jobs and save for our own. There’s a local company that won’t let you rent anything over 56 feet without certain insurance. They said it’s generally just a standard inland...
Thanks for sharing man and thanks for the photos of your bashed mug. Stories like these are invaluable. There’s a Reg Coates video where he talks about how he imagines gruesome kickback scenarios to try to stay aware and cautious etc, something along those lines. I try to mull over whatever...
This sentiment is constantly echoed on this forum and it rings true.
The top of the wrench is close, but does not interfere. I think I’d be wary to have it that close with a zigzag but idk. Been climbing on the sticht lately so don’t do this often anymore, but it could be improved. Leaves the...
I use a shackle in the top hole of the hitch climber to attach my tether, also the fix shorty tether like yours. There’s a small amount of flop from the tether moving side to side but it’s like a centimeter of flop. One could remove that flop if they really wanted to. I don’t ever remove the...
I agree with your “this is unacceptable and dangerous mindset” but you should let it rest man. There’s a more constructive way to go about this.
such are the dangers of the internet. Anyone can sound like they know what they’re talking about. When they don’t and get called out on it, they get...
Right on. I was gonna switch the basal anchor to the tree I was in but in this case trusted the TIP regardless so opted to move forward. Sometimes wording is everything - I was not considering the huge lever arm which would increase as I limb walk. Thanks.
Not to divert but I’ve been casually thinking about this string of comments for about three weeks :b
I don’t climb “tall” tall trees often, we don’t have a ton around here. Was climbing an eastern cottonwood recently, got a massive TIP about 70ish feet up. It was a luxury lol. It was in between...
