Coolest cat, Scruffy. Gone but not forgotten.
On a large Lazy Boy.
Puff the magic kitty; found dead in the road after I watched her get hit by two cars. Came back to life in my conference room at work. Nine years with us now.
Keywords for me from the video = "Super good enough".
For isolating a bad section of rope, I've always tied a double EDK as a back up to the butterfly. Course in that case you might as well just use the EDK.
So no use change that I can think of based on the video. If not isolating a bad...
I agree, mostly. epiCORD might find favor with the Hitch Hiker aficionados. In fact, that is what I see as the "high end" hitch cord sold as a Hitch Hiker accessory on WesSpur.
The winch lines are plenty long. Warn winch synthetic line comes 80 feet standard.
To sum it up as close as we can tell:
48' epiCORD 9.3 mm = $288
106' Yellow 5/16" Ultrex = $211
~ 100' Notch Hercules 5/16" = $209
~40' 5/8" Arbor Plex = $160
~40' 5/8" Notch Kraken = $53
I know pricing for some of this is heavily discounted if you buy specific lengths. Also who needs 40 foot...
Confirmed on both counts. 106 feet of the yellow Ultrex. I'd say this covers my $70 for the whole bag. About 100 feet or more of the Notch Hercules as well. Both look like popular winch lines.
Both measure about 9 mm if I round them out. Not sure if these are 5/16" or 3/8". Either way...
The white rigging line definitely is 3/4" Arbor Plex.
My "Arbor Plex"
Confirmed Arbor Plex
Little blue is likely epiCORD as far as I can tell.
EDIT: I measured this cord with my micrometer, and it is closer to 10 mm than 9.3 mm if you just touch the sides without any pressure. But 10 mm...
A little office-made Venison stew in the 6 quart Instant Pot. In this case, about 3 pounds of burger from this year's buck (ground with 5% beef tallow), a half pound hock from last year's yearling doe, and a chunk of bacon. Seasoned with salt, pepper, a little bit of garlic, paprika, couple bay...
The small diameter yellow and green look like waterski ropes (yes, I have no knowledge of ropes). The two large ropes (white and yellow) are about 3/4" diameter. I'm hoping the skinny bluish one is something awesome.
Many thanks if you know off the top of your head. If you guess, I'll look up...
Kickstand could be an inline inverted V (i.e. ^) that swings down and locks via spring cam or hard lock. That gives you three points of contact. ^ would be inline with the wheel and touch the ground on each side laterally, resting a foot in front or behind the point of wheel ground contact. This...
UPDATE:
Checked the lot survey/fenceline and determined we both own the tree. The light is definitely not to code, which limits height to 15 feet. This light is 32' feet up the tree.
I rented a 24' extension ladder, tied to the tree, and stood on the top rung. No, I didn't do it like Aerial...
