    GL insurance 2025

Burlington Insurance Co out of CT, no claims and has increased by few hundred each yr. Acadia for inland marine which has increased even more. 15xp and sk800 are $4k/yr and bet they'd be complete shitheads if I ever made a claim. Recently financed a new Kioti tractor inhouse (DLL financing) and...

Free fall with Rope Runner Pro

For a valid reason to be fair. Thanks to decades of pfas use there are whole areas in my state one can't eat deer, and dairy businesses gone. I appreciate being peeved when "the good 'ol" products are taken off shelves (enter worthless PT lumber) but it's because they shouldn't have been on the...

How to keep spikes from coming loose

I leave my spur boots in the truck as I don't like wearing a big heel all day unless I'm in spikes all day. Have perfect pruning/ground boots and perfect spur boots, haven't found a boot that does both.

    Working in Smoke

Everyone gets hit different, and good employers actually take notice vs projecting how they "dealt with it for years" etc. I have lower blood pressure and can tolerate some conditions better, but have zero body fat and do worse elsewhere. Helped a friend out a week ago in modest heat, after a...

@Bigdog12 the sizwheel is a finicky one that doesn't always seem to engage, but I've noticed the closer it aligns to the slope of grain the better result.

Five Dead Ash Lift Vs Climbing

The 50' lift doesn't have much side reach so at full extension you'll not have much wiggle room with a 70' dead tree. Depending on how dead and how close you can get it may not be enough...

    DC Non-contact voltage detector

@Bart_ I read through that a few times as my electrical literacy is lacking, and understood most(?) of it. Doing a search for using high impedance sensitive multimeter as proximity sensor didn't turn up much. I have a multimeter for batteries/alternators/ag-fence controllers etc, but as I...

    DC Non-contact voltage detector

Looking for a test pen gizmo for truck/trailer wiring if one exists. My normal one doesn't register hot wires in the truck and have had a spell of running lights, brakes etc issues a detector would ease tracking down. For those who don't have a proximity tester, get one as they are cheap and...
