Does it really seep though? I've never seen bar oil just drip from gravity off the bar and chain. The whole idea behind chainsaw specific bar oil is it has tackifiers to keep it stuck to the chain so it doesn't just weep out of the bar groove from gravity and actually sticks to it as it's slung...
I follow the process from this video for bar oil leaks...
Basically, clean the saw and break it down. Set in on cardboard and see where it gets oily. Last saw I had leaking badly was a faulty cap.
