Have you given any thought to hiring an accountant? I know a couple small business owners who have. Could be worth your while, and I'd trust "my local accountants" answers over an online forum. Not saying you wouldn't get good advice here, but I wouldn't bet my $$$ on faceless names in a...
Methinks it may have been better to dry it out before running it. I'm just guessing, but isn't there a possibility that remaining wetness inside allowed circuits (circuits which normally are insulated from each other) to short out when the saw was activated?
As much as I despise SherrillTree, and as much as I have loved TreeStuff ... yeah, I know they're now one in the same :crying: ... I gotta' give the nod to the Big Shot (the ONLY item I bought from SherrillTree). The thought of having the extra step of pumping up air pressure bugs me terribly...
Had a KW with a similar set-up (but with remote control) delivering 2-1/2 pallets of shingles to the top of my roof this past Monday.
Steve - My ol' ASVAB scores indicated I should be a heavy equipment operator, so maybe I can come across the river so we can play sometime. :loco:
Steve - With a very capable crane, I would probably rethink the Virginia-only idea ... especially since Suffolk shares a border with North Carolina. I know a Peninsula crane & tree operator who has worked as far away as NJ. The hurricanes & nor'easters which only graze us hit other nearby...
Watching the video, it's obvious that Dave has no real experience with RADS ... his set-up was sub-par (bridge was too long) and his technique was less than stellar (place your foot below your arse before stepping up). I also think the Petzl Rollclip saves more "precious inches" than the CT...
Steve - THANK YOU for organizing this event. It was a great pleasure to meet you, Brendan, Walt, and the other climbers. The location was great, weather was perfect, and your hospitality was first class. I was pleased to get a hands-on observation of the items TreeStuff had there to display...
It has been very quiet in this thread with no comments in the last 2 months. Is Ronin still moving forward? I would love to hear some real-world reviews after the units are being sold and in the field.
Nice work, Ben! I see several above-ground tanks adjacent to the houses. Are they collecting rainwater in them to get through a dry season? And if so, is the water used for personal consumption, or just to water the plants and/or feed the toilets?
Are you happy with it? If it works for you and you're satisfied with your investment (regardless the amount), it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
I like that idea, but wouldn't I still need extensions to support the plywood?
Wait a sec! I'm a dummy. The sides would only be 2 feet wide & hinged in the middle.
I'm kind of liking this tote. I would probably fab/weld some removable extensions because I would use it more for toting large amounts of brush versus logs. Maybe fab the extensions as port & starboard panels with steel mesh screen instead of mere stick extensions so I can tote my gear, too...
OK, but on the other hand, it doesn't appear to have been heavily used or abused. Unless gouged, I think the seller described it to the best of his ability. Besides, "lightly used" can mean different things to different folks.
