What techniques would you recommend? I'm injecting the trees exactly the same way when using one product or the other. I've had trees where I pulled a bottle of Tree-Age that was not moving, set it up with arbor mectin, and it took off. I'm not brand loyal. I just don't want to be held up all...
Tree is either over mulched or planted to deep. Rot is working itself up from the root flare. Excavate down to the flare and clear all the dirt and mulch away from it allowing it to dry.
I started this year off with a half bottle of Tree-Age from last year for EAB. First Ash injection was slowww. I mean all day slow.
I ordered two cases of Arbor Mectin from Rotam. I could not believe how much faster the uptake was.
We'll those two cases are used up so I went and picked up 1...
I'm sure what ever the label states on Arborjets product will be fine. I'm using Alamo for DED. The uptake on Elms is so fast I don't think it matters how much you have to dilute. With macro injections guys are using 40-80 gallons and getting uptake in a hour or two.
I would think any of the...
The big concern with stone fruit is brown rot. Serenade is labeled for it. Regimines are nice but again it all depends on the weather. Get a very rainy cool spring and you will be spraying all the time if you want to strictly stick to organic. Myclobutinol works real good if you need to cheat if...
Yes oil after frost. It's all so dependent on the weather. We got such a late start this year. Your spots on the apples are scab, fungicide apps are always preventative and not corrective. But break is when they need to start. Keep in mind Conserve is not "Organic" but it is very low toxicity...
Seems unlikely wiith the the progressive color change but dead leaves after flowering with rapid decline makes me think possibly fire blight of cherry?
Yeah definately too late to start with the fungicides. I start with hort oil, then go with Serenade fungicide for two apps, then Serenade and Neem oil for another two. Spaced out 7-14 days depending on the weather. Check out 7 Springs farm's website. They have a lot of good OMRI labeled products...
I've read in previous threads of your success with imidacloprid for eab. Glad it's working out for you. I've read and spoken to others that have not had the same success treating in high infestation areas with it. What has you success rate been with saving trees that have already come under attack?
Price per ml is .56 cents. That is your cost. You can either double or triple your cost then charge by the ml. It's pricey but we have not had problems selling it to people that really want to save their trees.
Low risk - Imidacloprid
Medium risk - Dinotefuran
High risk - Emamectin Benzoate
There was a great article in the last TCIA magazine addressing the very questions your asking. We are in a high risk area and only using Tree - Age (Emamectin Benzoate).
Right off the bat this guy has a problem because he labeled his company "organic". As soon as that happens you are held to a much higher standard and rightfully so. He could have used omri labeled fungicide but he still would have been screwed because none of them carry a label for cannabis. If...
It's interesting that myclobutinol can be used on fruit trees but not maple trees used for syrup and also sunflowers and walnuts that will be consumed.
In some states if the label states the disease treated for its legal to use. In my state we need the disease and species on label. Eagle...
After the October snowstorm you guys were down in ct working with us. I was working with Acorn at the time. How ya been? I forget the names of the two climbers that were working with you guys at the time. Good group of guys.
