No. I'm in northern Alberta. They are topped here because of all the hacks without a clue how to prune a tree. Complete morons.

I wish I could find 4 limbs that i could trust for a redirect. Heck I am happy if I have one tip I can trust. Most of the mature trees around here have been topped and I get the joy of trying to fix them. Would love to go SRT but can't see it happening here.

We use them on fuel modification treatments for pruning conifers to reduce the chance for trees to candle if there were a ground fire

Still don't have PST here in Alberta although we have the stupid NDP carbon tax. That may change before the end of their terrorizing (I mean term).

Tyler, here in northern Alberta you would probably freeze after all that warm California weather you have gotten use to. Plus $750 Can is only about 470 USD

I would love it if I could get a contractor day rate as low as you guys. I pay 750 for a day when I need him for complex removals. Of course I factor that in when I put the quote in but I wonder sometimes if that is why I don't get the job.

Daniel was that on your way up or down after? Been 5 years since I climbed a Doug fir to prune. Miss them beauties.

I am in northern Alberta and looking at a tracked lift too. Biggest thing for me is ability to get service. How do you find it for you there in Kitchener? Also how cold has it been and has it had any work in -30 C weather. Lots of warmer than normal here this year but I don't expect that to...
From their form I am thinking red pine. Needles are normally longer but if lacking proper nutrients they do shorten up.
