    Connecticut Tree Stand

Oh and the close up pic with the Hemlock needles was just one of the two pics which I put to show the bark... The needles are indeed from a Hemlock but that is not from the trees in question...

    Connecticut Tree Stand

First glimpse I thought Hemlocks, especially around here and especially with a couple dead/dying, and some struggling. Upon closer inspection I thought maybe not Hemlock, the needles are longer. The ID I'm looking for are for the tall stand of trees. There are a couple BEAUTIFUL Hemlocks...

    Dying branch scent

Truncated trunk contents :) ---> climbing bag, rigging bag, rigging ropes, 540, 372, fuel, oil, all weather gear and of course a 12" subwoofer in a box. :guitarra: Oh ya, and passenger cars dump for free! :tanguero:

    Dying branch scent

:estudioso:Wow. I thought for sure I was going to have to go back to school, get a degree, get a grant and spend my life finding the answer, but you already knew it! Thank you so much that is exactly what I was looking for. :estudioso:

    Dying branch scent

I often find myself driving around my little ol' Camry with branches in the back seat for several days before finding them a final resting place. I have noticed that soon after cutting and confining the leafed branches to such a small space a very green, chlorophyll-like scent, which is...

    Preserving Fungus

I'm not familiar with ring shake. All i know is that when a piece of the heartwood dropped and hit the sidewalk it sounded like it had been ten years dried out (and felt that way too)

    Preserving Fungus

note: This piece of heartwood, even though it came from a large living -although now broken- branch, was completely dried out.

    540 trouble

Thanks so much. I bought the saw from treestuff.com i think over a year ago but I will call them up and see if they have the replacement vent. I may attempt it myself, I may not have experience but I am adventurous! Good info on the muffler mod, I personally am quite pleased with the saw...

    540 trouble

The work looks simple enough. The access to the work looks easy but is it? Do you think I should just bring this info to my fix it guy or is it something I could get to? Thank you!

    Preserving Fungus

While in NYC I often find large (12-14") Ash branches having broken off an otherwise healthy looking tree. This latest one, in a rare Black Ash, I was able to inspect and the heartwood of the broken branch was thick with white rot. I work in a semi-educational setting and I wish to keep this...

    540 trouble

Hey guys, my T540 just started flooding/leaking out the baseplate recently. The timing of this may or may not have coincided with me smacking the handle hard enough to break the off switch which I had to replace. I am just wondering if you guys followed up on the diagnosis given by SixGun and...
