Looks really good. If you use safety pins to mark rather than a marker you can get your splices to looks really clean. Other than that keep it up and let us know how your break test goes.
10kn is about 2250 lbs. That's not too bad and the lowest gate on any of my biners is 7kn. So, i was wrong and though it was a bit lower than what i said. but 7kn is about 1500 which doesn't sit well with me. Either way being mindful of the way the gate is oriented is the way to go. Climb safe.

Jman,
The gate on that particular biner is rated at 10Kn

Right on, I was just commenting that the gate is usually rated lower than the major axis. I think the 5 or 6kn is for aluminum biners not steel. I would have to look...

I use a STEEL biner all the time in a choked config. especially climbing srt. makes advancing your tie in point easier... I have never even gave it a second thought. Rated at 30 kN, maybe someone can tell me differently...
Ya that setup should work pretty well. I used to use a right handed acender and my right foot pantin all the time. I'll throw it in my truck and we can meet up somewhere.
I got a right hand CMI I might be ready to part with. Maybe thinking the rigging pinto. It has had a fair bit of uses but still in good condition. I'll dig it out and get a pic to you soon.
Wowza. That's way to close for me and expensive equipment. I would have had to move that truck before the cutting started. Everything else looks doable but as you figured out you never really know all of the forces your putting on your gear.

Jman, the inner core is already braided. But if you are talking about abrasion on the eyes then I agree with you.

haha yes. what you said. my spelling is terrible and I depend a lot on spell check. it was close enough :)

I was on this job. I can vouch for the kboom. the remote is easy to use and the battery almost never runs out. It can pick a lot of wood. It's great for a log truck. Easy to operate and...
PM me and help me get into some climbing like that. I really would love to do a rappel outside of work and really enjoy it. I want to do some crazy things but need someone to double check my work before going off the deep end.
Re: Climbing gear, enough to get a climber started
I'm interested in the black and red accessory biner. I think it's made by ISC. I have all of the rest but it looks like good stuff.
You can take off the bosun seat. And you can slide at least 4 accessory biners through the Velcro on the harness for hanging your saw or some other tool. I have two right behind the D's on both sides and a third on the right side about 5" past the D. Take a closer look at the instructions I...
Around here, no that tree is awesome compared to some of the other pin oaks that are just giving up. It was hard to tell the overall angles but I probably would have only accented once.
