Buckingham Ergovation, size Small.
Bought less than a month ago Worn 3-5 times. Like my sequoia better and have an MB coming my way so this can go. Price is $425 shipped to the lower 48. Can look into international at buyers expense.
Will trade for other cool stuff, just let me know what you...
My experience with the drenaline after 3-4 months of mostly constant use.
It runs well through the rope runner, but does flatten with time. Puts very little wear on the runner. Super smooth, runs great and tends with nearly no friction. The outer sheeth picks, scuffs, and frays extremely easy...
I have a monkey beaver on the way, after watching vids, reading tons of reviews, I decided on the MB over the treemotion. Stoked for it, I can say the customer service is great. August himself called me not 10 minutes after I emailed about some questions. They are on back order for a couple...
Lanyard slip. That sucks. Hope it won’t keep you down long. One handing is never a good idea, but I’m not going to down someone with a lot more time in the saddle than myself.
For a retrievable line, why not an alpine butterfly cinched to the spar with the rope tail on the ground, descend with...
At the end of the vid it says it’s 3/4” polydyne rope. ABS 26,000lbs. WLL on that rope is 5,200lbs. Tie a knot, and it cuts that to 2600lbs. I’m not the best at gauging size on logs, especially through video, but that piece would probably be heavier than that with dynamics. Looks like the piece...
I don’t get rashes or itches from ivy or sumac bad, and I don’t get it from oak at all. Generally I wash my arms and face with dawn dish soap and a rough rag that you can really scrub with. It has worked ok I think, this is the first year I’ve ever gotten poison ivy
I haven’t tried the vault, was thinking about buying one.
If you don’t mind, why do you not like the transporter? I love mine, but haven’t tried a vault yet
It’s very interesting to me to see the price differences around the country. Here I’ve had my black walnut logs go as high as $12 a board foot delivered to the mill. Any walnut goes for $1 and up a bd/ft and they take down to 8” diameter
Just bought a house that’s got about 6 of these trees on the property. They all are full of dead wood, and are very sappy when freshly cut. It spurs extremely hard and the wood is yellow when first cut, like locust. I know it’s not honey or black locust. Friend of mine that’s an arborist said...
I’m also curious on getting more insight from guys who have run the small mini skid steers. I’ve been looking pretty seriously at the boxer 320. It has a 1250 tip capacity, but looks ultra nimble and is decently affordable compared to bigger mini skids. I’m thinking small mini skid now, and add...
I felt like articulating was a little easier to maneuver but telescopic felt more stable to me. I’ve only used JLG, and my use with them is pretty limited so take that for what it’s worth. I preferred a bucket truck
I like the 50 gauge over the 43 that comes on the 193 and 170 saws. I really prefer chisel tooth over semi chisel and, to my knowledge and what my dealer told me, they don’t make chisel tooth in 43. I do not think you will like putting a 50 gauge on your 193. I think you will find that’s too...
I’m based out of Bargersville IN. Would like to stay in the state. I have all my own Srt and ddrt climbing gear, saws, polesaw, and the basics in 1/2” rigging gear. Looking for some work since my new business is new and not keeping me busy as I’d like.
I have experience with, from most...
Seems awkward to me, I don’t think I’d like the spurs on the outside of my boots.
I’ve been using the cross over and under technique with my lanyard for small diameter stuff 4-10” and that’s helped with my balance
Coming from a timber cutter, who started climbing, then contract climbing, and now owning a tree service, I definitely agree. At least around here, a lot of the tree guys, even ISA certified ones, couldn’t fall a tree to save their life. I’ve walked on multiple jobs contracting for experienced...
