Way too much friction with my 11.7.
I weigh 140 and use B/1on Aztec that I use SRT only.
For natural crotch and ddrt I use 11.7 blue moon. It was way too much friction without a saver to do anything besides ascend and then install friction saver or tie in SRT
Edit: I should mention now that I...
I have a rook and it sits on my shelf never being used. I switched to a ring on my bridge and like it better. I have the rope runner, unicender, zigzag, hitch climber, and akimbo. All work well without the swivel for me, the big ISC ring allows some twist so you can manipulate your device a bit
I did some big removals with no spurs. Sure spurs help a lot but save your money if you aren’t doing a removal. And if you are, buy a set and make the profits from the job pay for them. That’s what I did my first year of business
Got to fly my akimbo today. I think it will replace my rope runner as my go to device, it’s a fantastic piece.
140lbs without gear, Yale Aztec, I’m using B/1
My akimbo is supposed to arrive Monday  weather has finally broke so now I’m back to working, but I’ll have time to play with the akimbo in some of my trees in the evening I hope
When it wears down. Are there going to be parts sold, Friction bollards, etc or is it going to be a ship back...
My groundie let a tarp be sucked into a chipper and it jammed it up badly. I ground a sawzall blade sharp, like a knife blade instead of a saw blade, and cut the tarp up with that
I like the zigzag’s release better, It’s similar to hitch cord or the rope runner. The rolling the wrist, pushing thumb and squeezing of the spider jack 3 was less intuitive to me. It’s also less compact. It was smooth as silk and ate slack very well tho. I’d go with whichever is cheaper. And...
Thank you everyone, I’ll be modding it as soon as I get back home, I’m on a 40-50 day contract up North for a lot clearing project.
I’m going to try removing the exhaust and doing both Sides to open it up quite a bit
I think you guys have convinced me to give it a little time and try muffler modding it. I haven’t even put a tank of gas through it yet.
What are you all doing with the muffler to open it up?
If that’s all they’re worth I’ll keep it and muffler mod it or something, I’m just testing the waters. I wasn’t really expecting to sell it just thought no harm in seein, it’s not what I was hoping it would be
Looking to sell or trade an echo2511t. I just bought the saw last week, have run it a handful of times, sharpened it once because the stock chain was dull. Paid $406 with tax, so that’s roughly what I’m looking for trade value. Would really like to trade for a 200t. saw is a pretty much brand...
I’m 21 years old, 2018 was my first year owning my tree business.
Ive been in the logging industry for 5 years, and tree industry for 2 years. I’ve cut thousands of trees, from tiny saplings to giants. Tree work can be very rewarding and can be a wonderful job. It comes with a great view, and...
Have you done any searching around on YouTube? They may have some vids for how it’s done a few ways. I would wear my tree saddle. Whether it’s rated for falls or not, I know and trust my tree saddle. Plus, a lot more gear loops for your pulleys, and etc for raising and lowering your lights...
