I was wondering what these were. A co-worker of mine uses them and i thought they were for linesman being plastic and all, not sure if they would insulate you or not.
Thanks for the tip to keep a dbrt system on the tail. I had a big spreadout willow to prune today and my go to is to just dbrt it because I'm a bit more comfortable working the tree that way. I had a bit of room in the budget so i dusted off the hitch hiker and went srt. Focused on working...
That story reminds me of a time when i was in full production line clearance mode. I jumped of the drivers seat while my off sider set up the outriggers on one side while i got the other side. This had been our practice for a while. The other thing we used to do was if the one guy in the bucket...
Unclipped my lanyard to send my 201 down to get gas. Got it back , finished my cuts let the saw go and it kept going all the way to the ground. Forgot to clip it back on to my harness
I started out in line clearance. I was in the bucket truck parked sideways to 6 Norfolk pines that i had to top. Got to the last one all stoked that i didn't have to reset the truck. Put my notch in , then my back cut and the top landed on its tip made a jump to the left and launched thr butt...

Thanks Tom I think that was why I was having such a hard time in the trees. The plumb Bob idea really made a light bulb go off in my head, plus I think a saka wouldn't hurt either.
I want to convert to srt. main reason is to reduce carpel tunnel symptoms. Love it for spar work and gaining access to prune bushy conifers but i find myself reverting to dbrt everytime i do a tree with a wide speading canopy. It just seems more productive especially if I'm advancing my tip as...
I now run a mesh visor but i got 3 years out of my kask smoke visor. $70 over 3 years is good for me and its always on your head. Haven't tried mesh glasses but the the screen works sweet. I have the mesh kit from tree stuff that is made for the kask helmet.
