The truck rides great with a load of wood in it now. It actually feels normal now. I can take turns without rubbing the tires on the bottom of the box deck.
Yes, the 562 was not oiling my bar well today. My chain was running a little dull, and I was burying the saw in some stumps. That's when the oil dried up. I'm not sure if the added friction of the semi dull chain and the stump combined sort of cooked the oil mechanism.
I pulled the bar off...
I was using the 562 with a 28" bar today to cut down a heap of brush. It was like running through a jungle mess. The saw worked like a sword in that junk. I've never had better; light weight, strong, and the long bar gives so much reach.
It has a great weight/power ratio. nuff said
No, there's no pool there. They are between the street and sidewalk.
I can't get a pic because I'm not set up right now to deliver on that, but they are 50 and 60 feet tall. They are exactly like all queen palms I've trimmed over the years, no different at all.
What would be distinct of...
That's good, Jomoco. We did sell the removals already based on the fact they are dangerous for climbers to climb on them. I'm going to try to look into them to see if I see any pests. I doubt I will though since I don't see any borer holes anywhere on them.
What do you suggest to look for...
Weird story
I was trimming 9 Queen Palms in the work order today. One of the palms had to come down because the top blew off of it.
These 45ft and up old things were very spindly from half way up to the tops. I noticed they were sickly while I was talking with the HO, and I let her know...
Anyone ever take non climbers out on a Sunday to climb for the fun of it?
I'm going to start doing this. I'm going to have them do the basics, install a zip line and ride it, and race me to the top a few times. Then burn a load of firewood, and BS with them for a while.
All in all it...
Has anyone ever heard of V-Belts online. I think they are -located in IA. They are cheap belts - Any Kind of Belts for Anything.
My Vermeer chipper drive belt blew out, and what would have cost me $160 for two belts (one is a spare) cost me $60, and I had the things on the front step in one...
No, but how much money are we saving with the veggie oil, eh? I've heard lots of word about it, but never heard the price difference from anyone.
What looks like builds up inside of the clutch cover is carbonized chips and oil. It's just stuff burning up in there I have to assume.
I think...
I went through my saws, and cleaned out the shoes that go over the clutches. I scraped and buffed them out with a mini buffer on a dremel. I sprayed brake cleaner in them all. They all have a lot more giddyup today.
I also cleaned out the filters, and adjusted the idles to compensate for the...
Yeah, this one has a 28" bar on it. That's what it came with.
EHP,
Did you adjust your oiler? You can adjust the oiler on all Huskys to high, medium, or low. Yours may be on low.
Ya, I believe it's a 28". I'll check again.
I was working in the shop with my fiance just a little bit ago, and I was telling her that the 24" bar on the 562 would be a much better situation than the 28.
I'm thinking that dealer is selling the 562 with the 28", but now I'm now I'm...
Owner of the service I work for has a 562. My first thought when I saw it was, "what a weird looking little fake saw." I've been using it for the past few days, and it is lean and mean. For a saw that small, it really hauls chain around that 28" bar, and I mean hauls it.
I haven't had any...
The truck is done. It rides great; not so wobbly, tires aren't rubbing. It sits up about another 3-4 inches with the re-arch work and 2 new leaves installed on each side. One leaf was broken, and it looks like it's been broken for a long time.
$725 out the door.
That's great...especially when you can DIY.
Hey, I was talking to ladies at the scales at the dump today, and one was saying that I can add springs to my truck and, go to the DMV to pay to have the load limit raised. I'm going to check on that. I sort of doubt it. We already settled on that...
