I have a bunch of climbing gear that I have hoarded for my rec climbing obsession. Most of it is like new, some is new unused.

@Baseballjunkie6 just note that I am NOT an arborist or play one on TV, but read a lot about trees..
That said you should consult an arborist or someone in the know (university nearby with a forestry program, cooperative extension in your state, etc) on these. It could still be solid and may...
The first tree looks like it’s suffered damage or disease in the root system on that side. There doesn’t appear to be any callous wood attempting to contain the wound. What does the root flare look like? Is there manufactured landscape on that side? The second tree has definitely had some...

- Changed the standard bridge to the shorter bridge. Petzl makes 3 sizes for this saddle. Check the favorite suppliers as one has them on...
I keep this clipped on my Sequoia belt right under my bridge. It has a secure sheath with a big clip that stays out of the way:

@ATH which model Marvin do you have? I’m debating if I need the 1.75” capacity with double pulleys or if the standard 1.25 single pulley will do. All of my cutting will be hardwood mostly oak. I tend to overdo it when anticipating “what if”...
