    MunterWrench

The absolute easiest way to get this method to be safer is to tie a quick 4-bar prusik below the munter, then clip it to your leg loop. If you go hands free, the prusik catches the brake strand but it's below the munter so you dont have to worry about cracking a weighted prusik. I've used this...

    Rookie mistake

True. Point taken. Just to clarify, the port-a-wrap rope is blue and the climber's line was rainbow. Hard to standardize climbing line colours though.

    Rookie mistake

The whole team was taking down a big basswood in the rain, and I asked our former aspiring rigger to loosen and rotate the porta wrap around the tree in order for it to be in line with the rigging. I look over and he's trying to untie our climber's loaded basal anchor bowline. Same guy kept...

    MCRS Review

Glad to know I'm on the right track about the rings. I don't have any DMM ones but I do have some of their other gear and it's always bomber. I'm still sort of new to tree work so I think I still have a sense of impending doom, thinking I'll get cut at some point. But I'm like you, mental...

    MCRS Review

That's quite a lot of stuff to have strapped on to you. I was really on the fence about getting the suspenders but here in Winnipeg I can cut almost anything with a 16" bar so I rarely hang with a big saw.. Thanks for the comment!

Very nice! Would you recommend replacing the green rings with, let's say, DMM ones once these wear out? Also, how to you find it with the suspenders? I didn't get those, I don't usually have a big saw on me. No blood stopper?

    MCRS Review

Just wanted to give my 2 cents on this piece of gear, hopefully help someone make a purchase decision, as it is fairly pricey. I came from a Petzl Sequoia for a tree harness, and I've had alot of time in many different types of harnesses. I've got to say, the MCRS is pretty comfy straight out...

Purposively Designed Chainsaw Protection for Women

+1 for rubbing quads. +1 for ventilation also, some decently sized cargo pockets would help. Need a place for my phone, saw tool, etc.. the gladiators I have now have a bunch of little pockets on top of eachother that don't fit anything other than a single credit card. seriously. there's only...

lurking women, care to introduce yourselves?

Very interesting! Nice to meet you. I'm coming from a petzl sequoia so it will be quite the change. I can't wait to set it up, I love how it's built. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey everyone, I see the thread's been inactive for a while but I feel I should pipe up anyway. I'm Mel (for Melissa), hailing from the great white North. I live and work in Winnipeg, Manitoba and am a climber/groundie/Safety and maintenance manager for my fiancé's tree business. My rope skills...
