    Personally I'd stay away from the teco. A friend of mine bought one and the control hoses blew out on a job. Long story short the truck is still sitting 3 years later because there are no parts available for them anymore.

    We've got an 88 s1900. By FAR the oldest but still the most reliable truck in the shop. pulls our 18" chipper all the time. Not as much power as the newer trucks but it runs good and reliably.

    252 vermeer stump grinder

    Check the jackshaft bearings and the sweep pivot for wear. the jackshaft bearings are not a huge deal but the sweep pivot is MAJOR if it wasn't greased. I'd say 1500-2000 or so if its in good shape. I bought mine for $4500 with 1100 hrs trailer and duals in real good shape.
