It is with a heavy heart that I will cut down a large Weeping Willow on Monday. I have been maintaining the tree for years and between the owner and the elderly manager of the apartment complex that the tree lives in they havejust been worn down by the tree.

Possibly compromised the shell. Gel coat has cracked a little and exposed some of the kevlar. Personally I don't think it is ruined but I will seek others input.
I don't know that I would call it a success story since I clocked myself pretty good.
I was jumping up onto the truck to climb into the bucket. I had the boom rotated about 180 degrees with the bucket on the chip box. The latch that holds the upper boom down was positioned right above the ladder and bam knocked myself simple when I jumped up. Knocked my cheap safety glassed down...
I don't like anyone micro managing me. I work for myself for this reason among others. I also have a bumper sticker on my truck that says "my boss is a jerk"
Our local paper has a photo- page 2- of a city employee who has climbied out of a bucket and is in a tree with no hard hat, no harness, and holding a pneumatic saw.
Every year the paper chooses to print photos of local hacks working with out proper safety gear.
It kind of gets my goat but hey...
