Yup exactly. Skidding logs and skidding large piles of slash, if you can get all the butt ends in there. Works well but can also be frustrating when it pops off.
Yea I think that’s the route I’m going to head. Get a 4 shelf storage rack for gear and the S hooks on the side is a good move for sure. I think I want to make a custom saw holder. Maybe make something out of a long round or make something to hang them vertically. I like that wooden rack. I have...
Update: the BTS Hauler was a great purchase. Super smooth and great leverage. Really impressed with all the grease zerks on it.
Also, I ordered this off Sheldon Hill Forestry out of NY. It was free shipping and it got to Colorado in less than a week.
How we doing TreeBuzz? Just got a little rental spot in a shop. It’s not a huge space, but a pretty decent spot to work with. Wondering if anyone has any good photos of your prized work shop? Looking for some ideas on how to build out a work bench for my climbing gear, fuel, landscape tools...
Really appreciate all the amazing feedback on here. Thank you all for your responses. I ended up using google earth for this project. I will look deeper into some of these apps that were mentioned. Thank you again. What an amazing spot we have here for information.
I do mark the tree with flagging. Just looking for something that can be mailed out via email as a visual for some of the home owners that are in second homes. This is Vail, CO most the homes are empty haha
Thanks for the insight. Hauling cottonwood rounds by hand through a gate with one other guys sucks and I think the log hauler is the move for now. Appreciate the reinsurance.
I appreciate the good beta. I definitely want a little dingo with a grapple. I think right now with the inflation, it might not be the best time for me to snag one unless a really good deal pops up. I was hoping to get something like the BTS to get me by and see if anything changes with the...
Yea see that sounds like a pretty cool app. Using google earth and editing it would work, just looks unprofessional with the marking pen in my opinion. Would be nice to have something where you could drop an array of pins on the location of the trees throughout the property.
Sending estimates for residential work is relatively easy.
Wondering if anyone has any advice or tips for sending estimates for commercial or larger complexes.
The owner is looking for a map with pins where the trees are that are being removed so that he can send it to all the home owners...
How we doing tree buzz? I run a small tree business here in Colorado. I operate with a 3/4 Ton pick-up and a tandem axle dump trailer.
What are your thoughts on the BTS Hauler? I’m trying to keep overhead low right now, but I need a good way to get heavy material out of yards and to my...
I wore these on one climb and found that they are a size too big for me. I’m a size 9 shoe and they fit more like a size 10. Practically brand new condition. I have the original box, tags, paperwork, and extra laces.
