Haha for sure mate , you will be surprised at how low tech a srt system can go, all you need is a foot ascender and some rope... I'm going to really try and sort out a trip within the next year and a half so i'll hold ya to it, and as for the
music, I try and make my videos feel way cooler...
aw shucks haha, nice video Ben i really enjoyed it mate.
I remember watching a vid of you pruning a really amazing gum about 2 years back and the tree was so unbelievable , I'm getting sick of beech and oak , maybe I should come and do some work with you mate haha id love to clime some gums...
on paper , yes, but i know a lot of guys that use this splice for the 8 mm.
I think you can modify the splice to add in an extra long bury to make up for the slipperiness of the core but thats something a splicing guru should come along and clear up.
I messed up my knee yesterday so i thought id better do something productive today .
the video is from a jobsite last week with a couple of pretty crap trees so i decided to make it fun by involving the quad track and the winch .... nothing to spectacular just tree work , hope you enjoy
I think its the style of tree work , over here we have
lots of dead wooding and crown care , sometimes five trees next to each other with only a small amount of work . it makes sense to swing from one to the other instead of installing access lines and goingup every single one for a little bit...
http://shop.freeworker.com/epple-baumfaenger.html Here you go mate, its a wicked investment.
cheers lads , I will be adding to this page as i get some more footage.
There was No crane access and the customer wanted zero impact , we suggested a helicopter when she asked how we could remove the declining sequoia when we were working there a few months previously.
pretty cool really and Glad you enjoyed it .
With a little bit of inspiration from some other guys, i have been getting onto doing my own videos .
Its just a bit of fun and i thought that id start up my own thread to show a bit of the work i get upto I have posted a few of these already but will be adding to them in the near future
this...
Ive had situations in the past that have been similar and instead of a breakaway i just used the tail of my climbing line with a slipknot for a quick release .
