    TCIA Expo

Already on his shit list I’m sure. Made a few new friends and had to hang out for a few drinks. Beer only tonight since I’m testing tomorrow. Also might have set myself up to become Canadian. Not really sure.

    TCIA Expo

Hmmm. Maybe but not until tomorrow night after I take this test. As @deevo said, I have to behave this year. They sent a handler to keep track of me

I’ll see you there Steve. I know that one of my friendly competitors is looking forward to your classes. He’s A new owner of a mek and has mentioned you a few times when we have talked

Renting a treemek for the first time

Please don’t wear flip flops. I’m hoping that post was made with a bit of humor.

    Cleveland Equip. VS. Spartan Equip.

Could be out of the same factory but spartan equipment doesn’t seem to have a brand name. Cleveland equipment carries a lot of blue diamond branded products. Paliden might be the other brand they carry. I bought my blue diamond pallet forks from Cleveland equipment. Dealing with them was easy...

Tips for walking back to the cutting point?

Great point to bring up @Magnum783. That’s a good thing to keep in mind when doing large picks

Tips for walking back to the cutting point?

@deevo Quick question. Why a timber hitch? Was the sling a bit short for the cow hitch to reach the balance point?

Tips for walking back to the cutting point?

I’d get longer rope slings. That being said, I’ve only done a handful of crane jobs. The last one was with a 130 ton at a 150’ radius. Wouldn’t allow me to use my ropes for slings. Had to adjust my plan for their 12’ chokers. Made a few tiny picks to clean off the central leader for them to...

    THE TREE HOUSE

He is and Gerry is alive and well. As far as the treehouse project, I think it’s still in good shape. Wish I was involved back then. I would’ve been proud to assist.

    Reg Coates?

Don’t forget the fookin bloody ell knoife you sent him as well Tommy. And I offered to try plus review a certain product and was given :fuckyou: in return.

    North America's largest grapplesaw truck

They won’t put you out of a job Jon. Just make the big uglies a bit more , well, less big uglies. I’m all for them. Only problem will be training good operators. One of our competitors bought a ka-boom with the grapplesaw and (hoping I’m wrong) think it’ll be either flipped over or do major...

    Pad damage

Generally I go back after picking up the plywood or mats and use a back pack blower to stand the grass back up. This helps a lot.

2019 TCIA Pittsburgh where you staying

I have no idea of the cost. I just told the boss that’s the hotel I’d prefer ( probably because @deevo let me know) and he made it happen

Drury or how ever it’s spelled. We stay close so we can park and never drive the whole time.

    Basket Hitch

I’ve heard it called the “secret handshake” and I recall correctly @Steve Connally did have one slip off. I prefer to slightly notch the log even in a normal choked situation.

Arborwear like climb pants with knee pad inserts in place?

Sorry @Peetle those won’t work with the ironwoods. I will most likely be trying a pair of cloggers soon because of the heat. I’ve heard they are the coolest chainsaw pants out there.

Arborwear like climb pants with knee pad inserts in place?

I like the knee pad pocket idea even though the iron woods have enough padding for me @jdevogel Have you guys at arborwear decided on a suspender for the ironwoods? The loops are on the pants but (at the time I bought mine) don’t sell any suspenders. Endor’s and I are wondering
