Haha. True!
My very first 'rugged phone' was the Nokia 5210. Not really rugged but the shell kept the internal components out of harms way.
The very first day that I used it I put it in my pocket together with my loppers. The screen of the shell cracked but the phone still worked. When I tried...

Thanks treespotter, that gave me an idea for a use for the idle bat plate. Here is my new test lanyard, seems very smooth and light.

That's still very bulky and the plate is forcing the rope around a bend.
You really should try the Rope Slider! Ask Treebuzz sponsor Luke...
I've seen the rugged Sony Experia but I think the glass screen is to close to the edge as it is on the Motorola Defy.
I think I will hold my breath and hope Samsung will deliver the Rugby Pro specs on the European market soon.
Yes. Send the scoop trucks in and make some Soylent Green.
A couple of months ago I saw a nice remark. I think Chip posted it on FB.
"I'm not saying lets go kill all the stupid people. I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem sort itself out".

and sometimes when the cage door swings open, well, best get going before it shuts again!

Good for you. Have fun in your new adventure!
Does anyone in the US already use the Rugby Pro?
Nice specs but not yet available in Europe.
The telephone that I use right now is the Samsung Galaxy Xcover. It has a 800MHz processor and 160MB internal storage that is used for most apps. That's where the limits are right now. I can't install...

Nope me first big guy! I want one... it would be great to cripple all the crotches so branches can fit in my tiny chipper. zip zip!

It's so much more than a chipper tool Bixler.
I had my first go with mine today with a 25 centimeters carving bar.

Yup, nothing beats a Falteimer when it comes to cubes.
[/ QUOTE ] Yup! I was told, always do your best and ask a good price. When you cut corners (...) and make crappy stuff people will remember the crap but forget about the cheap buy.
Some things in tree care we should be proud of...

This is about what I figured. Seems like the top of a chip box would make a great place for a large solar panel.
[/ QUOTE ]As long as it's output is 220 volts for these Euro machines.
BTW, those chargers don't just fill the battery's. There's a lot of calculating and measuring...

Compared to a petrol version, they will keep the oil pump spinning while running in standby.
[/ QUOTE ]Sorry Wouter, but that's not true. All saws (don't mean the Chinese fake) these days have are clutch driven oil pumps.

That looks like a very nice saw! I would like to know how it stacks up against the stihl one that is out right now.
[/ QUOTE ]No need to compare. The Stihl has a chain speed of 14 meter per second and is a backhandle saw. The Husqvarna is a 20 meter per second saw available in both a...
The Shindaiwa 358TS is the twin brother of the Echo CS355T.
Two saws that look other than branding and colour similar to me to the last bolt.
There's just one thing that bugs me.
There must be one significant difference. Can anyone tell me what it is because I am very curious what makes the Echo...
My 201 is Factory specs modded. But could someone explain me why it's necessary to mod a saw to make it a reasonable performing saw? Shouldn't a good saw perform brilliant stock factory brand new? Or is that too much to ask these days.
