    Trailer hitch carried sprayer?

It's a lot easier to justify the time, cost, and effort to fab it up when there isn't something like it that's readily available. Probably beats have someone else fab one for you at least

    Trailer hitch carried sprayer?

I'm gonna see if I can't figure out some kind of more portable situation like that. That is super cool.

    Lightweight saw pants

I sweat like it's my job, so I end up doing that to every pair of pants, no matter what.

    PNW get together

Hahaha! I just realized that I should clarify, since we are talking PNW, that I mean Oroville, CA as opposed to the only other Oroville I know which happens to be in WA!

    Shagbark Hickory preservation

I endorse your plan. Also, see if you can find a local source of high quality compost or worm castings. Don't buy the shit in plastic bags, as that is starved of O2 and very much compromised. It will almost certainly be very expensive, but you just need about a bucket worth, though make sure...

What would you call this cut?

I would think it better to use both of the remaining straps by making the back cut perpendicular to the original bore?

    Lightweight saw pants

the thumbnail just shows black! I never looked closer at that option, thank you! Hopefully they still make those when I need a new set, but I am not getting much saw time these days.

    PNW get together

I won't be able to take the time yet for this one, but I'd like to have it together in a year or two to host a shindig at my place in Oroville, to celebrate after I finish building the house.

Boomslang / Matt Herder support his family

My daughter is a year and change older than Isaac. I hope he gets through this alright. I lost my dad when I was 15, and it still fucks me up some days.

    Now Hiring Experienced Climbers

As someone who works in a high COL area, I always assume that lame ass phrase indicates that they know they're in a shithole town with a depressed economy, so posting the actual dollar amount won't sound competetive to most folks, but if they can just lure a guy into at least starting the...

Broke two rules and paid the price.

Damn dude! That's gonna leave one helluva scar to remind you every day. I really hope that's the only real lasting damage. Heal up man!

    Redwood canker?

Yea the bark is thick all the way around. That area looks like it started catching more sun than it was accustomed to when the neighboring tree had a bunch of branches come off a few years ago, so cracks from that first year getting blasted is a reasonable guess. IDing the issue is just of...

    Redwood canker?

I just realized that the main picture was missing Check that one out. Hard to see the sap droplets coming from the deepest crack in there, but it was dry looking, not like oozing. I sounded it, but maybe I just got lucky missing the decay pocket. I have to re inspect it once a month until they...

    Passing of Boomslang

That's the most frustrating part; that Matt knew better than to take chances with power lines; I wish so badly that he was here to explain what he was thinking when he started up that pole.

    Redwood canker?

Crown looks healthy as a tree in that situation should look. You can see that the top broke out some time back, but a single, strong leader emerged and re established the top. I definitely suspect soil issues, especially with the rock “mulch”, and I suspect that soil and surface roots may have...

    Redwood canker?

I’m looking at this redwood and I am concerned that it has some kind of canker. Is it too early to tell, or could I get this tested? Sorry for sideways pics. Not my usual phone

    Passing of Boomslang

This hurts so much. I was wondering a few days ago where he was. I thought it was strange that he hadn't been around, but I figured he'd be back soon. I moved so far from where I had the few friends I knew in person, but it's really hitting me how much closer I feel to some of you than I do...
