No real reason other than a smaller, more compact and streamline package. I'm not sure how it would tend with a chest harness, as today is the first day that I've ran one.
You lose the use of top hole with using the middle hole, and if you use the top hole, it lays upside down. So I'll just...
not a photo of it set up, but here it is with an oceans tether and I clip my chest harness to the bottom hole.
I don't like the RW with the HC. I'm going to make a tether for a pinto and run that. I love the pinto pully and RW. Have used it before without a special tether, but it isn't as...
It was a Christmas tree stand, not a Christmas tree, we used a 4" or so diameter limb as our "tree".
I like what your on to. No substitute for experience, but anything helps and I like how you can visualize with this.
We sort of did this one time. Not a crane removal but just to simulate a removal in general. Took an ash limb and cleaned it up a bit and put it in a Christmas tree stand. Complete with micro pullies etc to simulate rigging points and used snips and a hand saw to take them off as we went.
To...

One that I think greases the disk, it's not near anything. (Right side, labeled, hard to miss)
Another that I think greases something else internal, again, not near anything, just a zerk on a tube on the...
Not sure about the 250 but should be a couple more near the clutch arm. Likely two on the chute, one for the big gear the chute swivels with, one on the small gear (the handle that turns the chute). Found a new one the other day, not a 250xp, but there was one on the top of the chute on the axel...
Ive used the CMI and the ISCs. I have some 5/8s nerex, but I'm sure I could find good, but discarded winch line somewhere if it's going to make me feel like a million bucks. Those pretty rings from WesSpur are calling me though lol. Oh well, we'll see. :aburrido:
Thank you for all the advice. I've got some 5/8 Nerex that I think will work just fine for slings. If I start blocking down big wood and logs, I'll invest appropriately. This particular job I think I can snap-cut most of it right into where the guy wants it staged.
Saw the rope sale on TS. Been...
Depends on the tree. I've declined a love red oak because there was no central tie in and it was hollow, alive but hollow. Only about 0.75"-1" of love tissue and the only tie in point was about 10ft off center.
That said, I climbed a mostly dead cherry Saturday that made me a little nervous...
Unless my IPM biology is wrong, soil ap "in season" shouldn't hinge on crawlers. If crawlers are out, then Distance+HO will squash em. Ten days to two weeks apart after emergence.
But yeah, my safari post was in reference to soil ap and adult feeders.
Safari is losing its punch in many areas on armored and soft scales. Beware of that. It'll knock em back, but guess who's left to breed?
It's the same with all pesticides, but scale are extra tough.
