Rings or block

Husky is polyester cover/ nylon core like polydyne. Stablebraid is polyester cover and core.
Definitely like the 9/16". You gain alot of strength over 1/2" and the size is nice in the hands.

If you are lifting, pulling, removing slack/stretch out of the rope with out the help of serious mechanical adv use pulley/blocks. It sucks balls if you hva do the pulling through rings or thimbles

get 200' of true blue and take some $9 shackles and cut some short retired lines for slings and get to work.. The shackles work fine as long as you use multiple over head anchor points. Bend radius is too tight if used alone.. OBviously the system is to be used for light and medium rigging only...

Well ya learn something all the time....glad I sold the 5/8th husky I bought ages ago...that stretch would not have worked for what I needed it for...never knew about the nylon core...I use 5/8th for wood over objects...so need very little stretch....

I second Reed's vote for the Omnis. One lives on my hip most of the time. With a good 1/2in rigging line of your choice you have the Canopy down in a compact, rope friendly package. I prefer them for the midline attachment as well.

omni block on a ultrasling is what I would recommend to start. Rings are awesome and bomb proof but starting out...... a block does everything. I have a ton of rings in different configurations but I always bring a block. Always. Might not get used but it's there

Your rigging always makes me happy.
I should get another true blue.
