Got a pair of Evo 2s that about need the soles replaced entirely. I wear them for everything, including a lot of ground work on both hard and soft surfaces. So naturally the tread has worn out faster than I would be liked.
That said, anyone know if these particular boots can be re-soled? Or...
I've been running the zig zag with a Yosemite Bowline on my anchor side. I can control how much distance to put between the biner and where I start my knot. It's clear of mechanical prusik so never have to worry about it catching and sliding.

(Duh) I can easily see that now. Thanks brother. I like this redi a lot and seems easy to setup and retrieve compared to some of the others.

Sorry I'm late to the party but how do you unhook the revolver from a distance to make this retrievable? Am I missing something?

What about wearing your climbing saddle and then throwing on fall arrest harness over top? Then once you hook in you take the top harness off. That a no go?

Love this thread as I have just recently become a RW man. Can't get enough of that thing.
Been fooling around with the ZZ on DdRT as well and then it hit me "Why not run the ZZ and wrench together?!" I tried it on several different lines 11-13mm and it was so fast on both and bites hard too...
Steve they are ok. I've had some removals where they stay in place and others where they move around way too much. Cinched down tight in both scenarios. So now I just switch to loggers during removals. But for everything else they are beast.
Can you guys give some more info about this course? First I'm hearing if it. Did my first crane job last week, easy 4 picks, but would love to get more training on it.
