    Not sure if this has been posted as I didn't read the entire thread but you can use drinking straws to store your round files in when they're in the bag, they won't rub together when they move about, keeps them sharper, longer.

    It's awesome, same principle as the CE lanyard with the midline Prussik below the carabiner that you can use for single leg limb isolation, or use as a short SRT positioning line that you can move to your rope bridge. Endless possibilities.

    Made my extra long positioning lanyard from some cordage, some cut rigging line, and a few old carabiners. The blue screws are replaced with double action snaps now. The thicker rope has great abrasion resistance and flips better than a thinner positioning lanyard.

    I knew it was a bad one, but I didn't realize how bad until I saw the stump cut to grade, had you been able to show me that photo from the future I may have not accepted the job. I probed it to estimate remaining wall thickness in the trunk but even with those numbers it's hard to really grasp...

    While not technically dead, this is the scariest hazard tree removal I've done. Big nasty Manitoba with what appears to be absolutely NOTHING holding it up anymore. Zero wood remaining on the tension side, and probably 80% of the stump no longer existed. That's a 5 foot rock bar that I couldn't...

    But if you are comp climbing, short bridge is the way to go, body position also has an impact on snags.

    Zero access, couldn't even get a spider lift back to it. Had to hulk everything out by hand across 150 feet of yard gently uphill to the street.
