Not cherry laurel oldoak, but I'd say that's closer, size-wise anyway. this tree is known for its fragrant flowers. very nice smelling and you can smell them a block away sometimes.

sorry to hear about it Fred. i'll keep an eye out but i doubt they'll get this far. i will however fly out when you catch 'em, and hold 'em down so you can beat the ever loving....nevermind. can't stand a lousy thief either.

Thought those leaves shaped like a water droplet were Q nigras? Missed one - sweet gum? Just a straight up chestnut oak huh. Don't think we have 'em here. Tons of the swamp chestnuts though.
