I had a load of chips in the back of my truck but it was too late on a Saturday to make it to the dump.
I had to take them home and new I was stuck with them till Monday.
Sunday night I looked up Chipdrop and joined.
Found a free drop site 3 blocks from my house and another 2 miles from the job...
Tie a back stay to another tree or two if available around 20" down from the tip.
Put another rope up top and use a come-along or 5:1 and pull in the opposite or safe direction.
If you can put enough force on it without it snapping then you'll know if it's safe to climb.
If it snaps you'll only...

Be sure to rotate the disk by hand to be sure your not hitting the anvil.
When I did mine, I set the gap on one knife and when rotated the other knife hit.
Drove me nuts trying to perfect it.
Think my anvil is off or my disk it warped.

I can't wait to see Trump in court without his makeup and fake hair and skin color.
It'll be a hoot to see his hair style without his sculpture artist caking it with spray.
Maybe then the self engulfed conspiracy advocates might catch on that everything about this guy is fake.

Tell that to the squirrel that ate though the outer sheath and insulators to bare copper on a run of 14/2 in my attic and tripped a breaker.
How that sucker survived that is beyond me but I can tell you that it wasn't very practical..
Pulling brush piles to it.
On a site with multiple brush piles scattered around the property 30 - 60 feet away from the chipper where you cant drag the chipper around.
Pretty cool to see it pull that brush up a hill on while mounted on a small machine.
That's what I want to do with mine, drag brush piles over to the chipper.
Awesome setup.
Can you vermeer run that winch also?
The winch I picked up is one of those MileMarker military 10,000 lb Humvee winch.
Don't seem to be getting the right amount of flow to it even though the pump on my chipper should meet the spec.
Rotates super slow in low.
My head exploded in the process of working on a response that would be short and to the point after reading the above.
It turned out to be an impossible task to complete without writing a response that would span several volumes.
Thanks for taking on the task brother. (y)
I use one with the Petzl Rollclip for a 3 to 1 occasionally when climbing back from a redirect, back on limb walks, and with my DMM Captain.
It's nice and compact on your saddle.
