    We grind beyond the flare. Depth wise we shoot for 12-15” below common grade (the area outside the flare) and chase roots until they’re small and deep enough to not be an issue.

    We almost only grind our own stumps, but I'd not be opposed to doing more retail or sub grinding. I'd hate to go back to using a sub and having to deal with their schedule and such... plus with 165hp the typical 3-4' stump doesn't take very long.

    You can get them in aluminum or steel, I kept an aluminum one on my previous lift. CMI Rescue 8 hasn't changed in the 28 years or so since I used them in Boy Scouts.

    Technically a rescue 8 has ears to prevent the rope from girth hitching around the 8. I've done quite a bit with a rescue 8, or a Saf-T-Bloc over the years, I primarily handle the friction aloft to make the groundy's job easier.

    Most people have an iPhone. You can send a literal picture of the card, front and back. A cropped screen shot would look far better than a picture of a card. You could make a contact card, picture of a card, and a link to your site, or a specific part of your site (like the bid request form)...
